House Tour

Here's our current house, very much still in the works.  It took me a year and a half to renovate the last house so this one with 1000 more square feet will surely take awhile.

Here's the front of the house.  I didn't actually take this picture.  It's the one from the listing.  And actually there are quite a few from the listing.  I'm really good at forgetting to take before pictures, but I'm trying to get better.

And here's the house right now.  A little greener in real life since this was taken a few weeks ago.  Those bushes in the front that look really nice and green were actually dead so those got taken down.  Plus to make your home as appealing as possible you want to direct the eye to the front door and you could barely see the front door with the bushes.

In Progress
We plan to paint the front door, trim and garage door, as well as do some landscaping.  Check out the projects page for all the information.

Here's the dining room and the front door.  I love the large windows but hate there are NO lights in here.

This is the kitchen nook.  I know what you're thinking.  "That's some pretty sweet ivy stenciling on the wall."  I know.  That's why it's now gone, along with the chair rail....and shelves...

And the rest of the kitchen...

This is the half bath on the first floor.  Not a very good first picture...

And the living room.  That door goes to the garage.  Don't you dig the super weird trim in this room.  It outlines all the walls that are paneling.  Gotta love paneling.  And our wood stove that I secretly desperately wish was a fireplace instead.  Sorry wood stove.

And out that patio door is...wait for it...wait for it....the lake pond! This was the huge selling feature of this house. We wanted to be on water. It's kind of on water. You can't boat in it, but you can fish in it. Too bad I don't fish.

To the Upstairs!

This will become the "official" spare bedroom.  Even though no one has stayed in here yet.  Everyone has chosen to stay in the next room.

Which I affectionately call the teddy bear room.  There is so much that is wrong with this room.  Lets for now just mention the cloud ceiling and the teddy bear/bunny rabbit border with the grass green carpet.

And finally the pink room.  Aka Matthews room.  All the kids toys are in here so this is where he plays when he's here.

This is the master bedroom.  Again a listing photo as we do not own any of this furniture or have Jesus hanging on the wall.  *No offense Jesus*

Those are some pretty sweet curtains for closet doors too, huh?

And the master bath with Palm Tree theme.  Again a listing photo.
